Here is ours and how it all started.
2017
Cheyns birth is the result of many happenings since 2018 when I first visited Bangladesh to learn more about the true cost of fashion. Ever since things accelerated and looking back it feels like nothing happens without a reason.
2018
The first idea was to start a fashion brand (of course!) and so we did. But we had a ton of issues at almost every step of the way. Little communication, lack of transparency, high inventory, high investments, expensive sampling, poor quality and of course design mistakes.
Why wasn't there any digital solution to start off and manage your brand?

In the same year we founded our NGO dripbydrip. We learned everything about the fashion supply chain and started to dive deep into the industry.

The pandemic hit and not only that. Things got really out of control for me personally. In less than 4 months I lost my brand, my NGO and had 120k debt. I stood at a crossroad in my life. I decided to go silent and focus on what was most important to me. My family.

2021
8 months after the roller coaster and a long break from everything I had recharged and managed to get rid of my debt, got back into my NGO and started to dive into my idea that was stuck in my head for so long.

I decided to speak with a friend of mine about the idea. First experiences with 3D fashion development shaped the mvp we had in mind. We decided to dig deeper and see where it leads us.
2022
Mid 2022 Daniel agreed to join as a co-founder and cto. Cheyn fashion was born. We needed more expertise in the fields of 3D fashion and UI/UX design. So I asked Thao and Daniela to join us.
2023
We completed our first closed beta and use the initial feedback to adjust our business model. Currently we are heading into our second closed beta and things are more exciting then ever.
April 2023
Our closed beta phase was highly successful, with more than 70 users actively testing the tool. This stage yielded numerous valuable ideas and inspirations for our future direction. Interestingly, we discovered that our tool holds significant potential for B2B use cases, which we are currently in the process of exploring further.
August 2023
After 8 months of effort, we've chosen to launch on Product Hunt. Our objective isn't rapid wealth; rather, we seek diverse feedback from various customer segments and to introduce ourselves to the world.
